Used with adapter on my PowerMac 6500, then sold to "buy a PowerBook G4" (I may have just been saying this, since I don't think I owned a PB G4 back then). Wish I had kept this one.
The NeXT 21-inch MegaPixel Color Display was historically significant because it represented the high-end visual side of NeXT’s workstation ecosystem, aimed at users doing advanced graphics, publishing, and technical work rather than mainstream personal computing. It also matters in Apple history indirectly: NeXT’s hardware and software design culture later flowed back into Apple after its 1996 acquisition of NeXT, making devices like the MegaPixel display part of the broader lineage behind Apple’s return to premium, design-driven computing.
