About this Device

Recapped logic and analog boards. I adjusted the cut off voltage on the analog board and the dim screen is brighter now. Still has a decent amount of burn-in on the screen, so may see if my space CRT tube is better. Also removed, cleaned and lubricated floppy drive. Also replaced the floppy eject gear and cleaned read-write head. Tested working with floppy disk. Reinstalled ethernet card in PDS slot.

Historical Notes

Widely considered the greatest compact Mac ever made. The SE/30 packed a 16 MHz 68030 and 68882 FPU into the same case that started with the 128K in 1984 — and ran circles around most of the Mac II line despite fitting in a smaller box. With MODE32 it could address up to 128MB of RAM. The last of the original compact form factor, and definitively the best.
