Powers up with boot chime, HD spins up (it seems loud, probably need to replace with BlueSCSI). I get some beeps that make it seem like the OS is loading. The screen stays dark and has delaminated. When I ordered, the seller claimed it worked, but after receiving, there was some bad soldering around the PRAM battery and some damage. Might be as simple as getting a replacement LCD from a machine with a bad case, as the case is in good condition.

The PowerBook 160 brought the 68030 to a more affordable laptop price point, featuring a dual-scan passive-matrix display at a time when active-matrix was still a premium. It served the broad middle of the PowerBook market in 1992 — capable enough for real work, affordable enough for education. A reliable road warrior of its era.
