The MacBook Core 2 Duo marked an early refinement of Apple’s consumer Intel notebook line, improving on the first-generation Intel MacBook with better performance and, over time, support for more memory and 64-bit-capable processors. For collectors, it sits at an appealing transition point: still very much part of the original white-and-black polycarbonate MacBook era, but already showing Apple settling into the post-PowerPC laptop design that would define much of the late 2000s.
